Christmas came early for Ugandan revelers and the theme Party, Party, Party, after Party is gonna be witnessed firsthand this December with such a star-studded lineup of international singers set to perform in the +256.
Imagine Jidenna, Wizkid, Teni, Fally Ipupa, Kanda Bongoman, …and Mya, just for the sake of it, all performing in Kampala within the same month. Omwavu wakuffa this season.
The newest addition on the list is Jamaican Ragga/Reggae/Dancehall sensation Koffee. Born Mikayla Simpson (19), Koffee is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars globally in the last two years.
It is alleged that she’ll bring her rupture to the Pearl Of Africa on a date yet to be announced next month. Who wouldn’t want to toast to the new year with some bit of Koffee? This could turn out to become the show to look out for, only and only if it happens though.
To burst the bubble a little bit, details regarding Koffee’s performance in Uganda are still shady with doubters noting that it’ll only be possible if promoters ambush her management after her performance at the Blankets and Wine event in Kenya which has been confirmed for 22nd December.
In the short period since her rise to fame, Koffee has become an inspiration to several people around the world some of whom are big stars even locally in Uganda.
One of her fans that have publicly acclaimed their love for the Reggae star is KVan whose music actually possesses great resemblance to that of the Jamaican’s. We hope she will perform on that same stage, that would be a dream achieved. Fingers crossed!
