Ghetto born star Eddy Kenzo on Saturday during the Kyarenga concert staged a dramatic performance in which he urged youth and supporters of Bobi Wine to practice utmost discipline and togetherness as a way of supporting the ghetto President’s cause.
“We are here to demonstrate togetherness, discipline of the common man and to show that we aren’t violent. People Power means oneness and today, no pick pocketing and no stealing people’s phones,” Kenzo says
It should be remembered that Kenzo jetted in the country from his month long tour in America to attend the infamous Kyarenga concert at one love beach Busabala.
Kenzo performed his songs like Sitya loss, Zigido, Jubilation, Mbakoye, Daggala, Mbilo Mbilo among others. “Mbakooye” which is inspired by Bobi Wine’s arrest and imprisonment was received amidst loud cheers, emotional gestures and waving of hands. Mbakooye condemns political negligence, oppression and corruption.
His performance was characterized with people power phrases and replacement of words like “Bobi Super Power”, “Bobi gwe’ddagala’’ among others.
Closing his performance, Kenzo urged people to not shy away from chanting “people power” as the phrase simply means brotherhood. Kenzo will be holding his own concert on January 4th 2019 at Kampala Serena Hotel as he celebrates 10 years in the industry.
